The Council Chamber is a versatile space at Surveyors House, seating up to 80 guests. The lifts have the following dimensions: Gold Lift by the reception (Basement to Lecture Hall and Council Chamber level): 27.5-inch (70 cm) door width, 42-inch (107 cm) depth. Main Lift (Basement to 5th Floor – excluding Lecture Hall and Council Chamber level): 31.5-inch (80 cm) door width, 53-inch (135 cm) depth.
A provisional ramp can be installed at the front entrance to provide step-free access when required. For emergency evacuation, the first floor is equipped with an evacuation chair, and trained Fire Marshals are on site to assist if required. Open from May to September, the Bolney Rooftop Bar by Searcys returns to Westminster for a limited summer season. Set against views of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, it offers a distinctive setting for evening drinks above the city. Entry includes a welcome drink, with English wines and small plates available to purchase.
