    Yes, assistance dogs are very welcome. If you or your guests/delegates will be accompanied by an assistance dog, please let us know in advance. This allows us to notify the relevant departments and ensure we are fully prepared to provide the best possible welcome on arrival. Please note that, with the exception of assistance dogs, pets are not permitted on site.
  • Is the Lecture Hall accessible?
    Yes, the Lecture Hall is wheelchair accessible, with lifts to all floors and accessible toilets. with lift access to all floors and accessible toilet facilities on level one and two. As the venue is located within a historic building, some corridors are narrower than those found in modern buildings. We recommend discussing any specific access requirements with our Sales & Events team and arranging a site visit in advance if vulnerable guests or guests with mobility needs will be attending your event.The lifts have the following dimensions: Gold Lift by the reception (Basement to Lecture Hall and Council Chamber level): 27.5-inch (70 cm) door width, 42-inch (107 cm) depth. Main Lift (Basement to 5th Floor – excluding Lecture Hall and Council Chamber level): 31.5-inch (80 cm) door width, 53-inch (135 cm) depth.

    A provisional ramp can be installed at the front entrance to provide step-free access when required. For emergency evacuation, the first floor is equipped with an evacuation chair, and trained Fire Marshals are on site to assist if required.
